Barry Schwartz: The paradox of choice

This is another very important and favorite of mine. Rus I thought of you around 9:40.
Psychologist Barry Schwartz takes aim at a central tenet of western societies: freedom of choice. In Schwartz's estimation, choice has made us not freer but more paralyzed, not happier but more dissatisfied.

LOL...yeah...that's me.

One thing he could have said differently. In the middle, after he has posed the issue, he says, well is this a bad thing? He answers, well, Yes and No. He should have said, well, I'll let you decide. Would have been good for a laugh. :-)

So, we change as we age I suppose. Tina makes my lunch typically. We have taken to her NOT asking me what I want. I'm happier that way. Tina also shops at smaller grocery stores when she can. Especially if it's Aldi. She says there are too many choices in the bigger one.
